From now on that room is to be known as the maid's room. You are also to move back there as soon as possible, taking with you all the clothes from your present room, and this will again become the guest room as before,

"As soon as you begin wearing your new uniforms, I will want to immediately get rid of all the dresses, blouses, and skirts I turned over to you when our present arrangement went into effect, and I shall then proceed with my original plans for disposing of these. I may later purchase you practical and more suitable underwear for your present more humble station in life, but for the now you can continue wearing what you obtained from me until they wear out, when I will make replacement of plainer types. Incidentally, while you will be wearing sheer nylons with your evening uniform, I shall obtain heavy duty nylons for your every day use, and which will give you

longer wear.

"Now, Janet, do you have anything to say regarding my new regulations, that may not be entirely clear? But which I fully intend to put into effect at once, regardless of whether you like them or not. Also, when replying, do not fail to remember, and use, the correct manner in which I am now to be addressed at all times."

"No, mam, quickly and quietly responded the now very subdued Janet, who had also immediately risen to his feet on making reply.

"Indeed, I have no questions at all, mam. What you have instructed me regarding my future duties, also future relation to you, is quite clear, and I shall endeavor to carry these out to your satisfaction. But what I would like permission to say mam, if I may be so bold, is that while I shall serve you willingly and to the best of my ability, I trust that you, now my mistress, will be well satisfied, with my services. If I may take the liberty, mam, I also hope that our future relations, even as between a maid servant and her mistress, can be more friendly than it has been recently. To be honest, mam, I do believe I shall now be happier under the new conditions as you have outlinded them, than I have been before. I now look forward with some anticipation to receiving and wearing my new uniforms, which sound, not only more appropriate for the duties in which I shall be serving
